this scar runs from my neck to my ass... most of my friends know where it's from but if you don't, just look thru my other scraps/journals... i don't really like explaining it too much :(

to keep things short, 5 surgeries. and one thru my stomach.

spinal fusion surgery. my twin sister had it done when we were 13, for her scoliosis. i have scoliosis, too but she also has cebebral palsy so it made hers worse.

i don't know how much more of this whistling in the dark business i can take. would anyone care terribly much if i just gave up and lost my mind right here and now?

its a mark of survival. it doesnt make it anybetter i know, but youre getting past this. from everything ive read, all the shit thrown youre way, ive never seen you succumb. flail, but you get back up. i have so much respect for you, seeing what youve been through. i hope if anything like what youve had comes my way i will be as strong as you. you truly inspire me, and im not just saying that.

I think it is really awesome, something to be proud of. This scar is the proof that you were strong enough to live through difficulties we can't even imagine.

I completely understand hating your scars.

I have one that runs from the back of the right side of my neck, all the way around until about halfway across the left. Under it on the right side is a smaller three inch scar. I never wear my hair up for that reason.

But you make the best of it, and it's just as much a part of you as anything else. Your tattoo looks fabulous.
